ABOUT SUMMER CAMP
At Therapy SPOT Inc, we have designed a camp program that addresses social pragmatics, provides peer socialization, develops play skills and supports academic skill maintenance within a fun and safe environment. Our program takes place at our office in Boca Raton and often has children from Boca, Delray Beach, Hallandale, Coral Springs, Boynton Beach, and throughout Palm Beach County and Broward County. Our summer camp is geared towards meeting the social needs of children with High Functioning Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD and more.
Our camp is especially designed for children whose ages range from 6-10 and who demonstrate an interest in social relationships, but have difficulty initiating and maintaining them. The children attending are participating in regular education classrooms, but continue to demonstrate deficits or delays in their social development, such as those with ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. Our group size is limited to 10 campers and is run by a trained Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist. The camp day begins at 9am and ends at 2:30pm (tutoring services are available after camp hours for an additional fee). Our day includes acclivities such as arts and crafts, gross motor games, sensory activities, social skills group, cooking and other fun activities!
